International POW 15-21 April

Few days ago it was Easter, and many of you probably spent the day searching for eggs, playing with eggs and coloring them, and maybe also devouring bunny-chocolates.

Beside Easter and the photos of the Easter bunny, there was also an amazing phenomenon called the bloody moon, which I chose one photo taken from a facebook page that show the true beauty of the view.

Other than that, POW hopes you will enjoy scrolling down to see this week’s post.

International POW 25March-1ِApril

I this week’s POW, there is a different taste of images from what was published in previous posts. Maybe you can notice it, but this post in particular was tending to more show emotion of people, or from what the whole environment of the photo might give to everyone taking a look at it.

This post will start from Greece, then it will go to Ukraine, and the metro catastrophe in the US, all the way to the middle east and ending with a photo from Brazil.

One thing to notice, this week the whole world was witnessing the “Earth Hour” event, which is a worldwide event held towards the end of March annually, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

International POW 26 Nov – 2 Dec

Everytime I take a look at the final draft of International POW before publishing it, the first thing I notice is that people really dosn’t seem to have interest in good things that happens around them, but try to focus more and talk more about the bad things instead.

Paul Walker, one of the main actors in the movie series “Fast and furious” has passed away in a car crash, yet that wasn’t the only thing that happened in the world during the past week.

In other news, TIME magazine has chosen it’s top 10 photos for 2013.

Lebanon POW 21 – 27 Nov

In a country so divided by politics and sectarianism, a stand of solidarity with the media and the freedom of speech is far more better than a stand with a tv station or few of its crew members.

With that being said, it is nice to see that romance in lebanon is blooming in different ways each time, from a band, to proposing inside a restaurant, and lately to rent a stadium, write “marry me” and go up in the sky and poping up the question like that.

Isn’t that amazing?

International POW 29Oct – 4Nov

Apart from everything that is happening in this world, I thing witnessing an eclipse or some phenomenon that isn’t part of a human made “action” sort of speaking.

and the fact that I didn’t have the chance to watch it here in Lebanon with my eyes, hasn’t minimized the beauty of this phenomenon, and one of the good things in this world is photography that catch that specific moment of history, steals it from time, to share it with the world.
