A 16-tonne transporter truck has set the world record for the longest ever jump - and did it while an F1 racing car drove underneath it. The daring stunt saw the lorry hurtle towards the jump at 70mph before leaping through the air a staggering 83 feet and seven inches. Meanwhile, 37-year-old Lotus F1 stunt driver Martin Ivanov - who has driven cars in both James Bond and Bourne films - quickly darts underneath it.No one has ever attempted the jump with a tractor and trailer before but Hollywood stuntman Mike Ryan, of Fast & Furious and Terminator 2 fame, was behind the wheel of the 54ft truck.(Solent News / EMC)

People who were travelling in a truck are stranded in flood waters in the southern region of Ouarzazate in Morocco. At least eight people were killed and 24 were missing as heavy storms lashed southern Morocco, causing flash floods, the authorities said. Flash floods are common in Morocco, where four children drowned in the south in September when they were swept away. (AFP)
